Program Evaluation
STEM K12 16: School/program conducts evaluative activities to ensure the effectiveness of STEM implementation.
Impact Narrative:
Members of the Instructional Leadership Team and STEM Committee work collaboratively with FLS staff and community partners to plan, monitor, and evaluate grade-level instruction of all core subjects, implementation of PBL Units, STEM-related extracurricular and enrichment activities to ensure that the vision, mission, and plans for the overall STEM program at FLS are implemented with fidelity.

An area of strength involves how stakeholders meet to plan and monitor program progress.
Areas of Opportunity:
Areas of improvement include engaging in a thorough evaluation of the STEM program at FLS. The Instructional Leadership Team will coordinate a team of stakeholders and complete an internal program evaluation of the STEM program to determine the impact of student learning outcomes, instruction, teacher professional development, and parent workshops.
Initiatives/Actions:
Members of the Instructional Leadership Team work collaboratively to plan STEM initiatives, support the implementation of each initiative, and observe/evaluate staff and initiatives to determine progress or a need to adjust our course of action.
Members of the Instructional Leadership Team meet weekly to monitor students’ data in core subject areas.
Instructional Coaches and STEM Specialists lead weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for all subjects.
