Communication

STEM K12 5: Leaders ensure that all stakeholders have ongoing opportunities to access information and learn about STEM implementation.

Impact Narrative:

At F. L. Stanton Elementary School, stakeholders, i.e., students, teachers, parents, and community members, have ongoing opportunities to access STEM-related information via the school website, Academic Parent-Teacher Teams (APTT) meetings, Robocalls, Class Dojo, and STEM Make and Take opportunities. Leaders consistently solicit support from Camp Jenny, The Mozley Park Parent Committee, NASA, Everybody Wins! Atlanta, and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church to strengthen, sustain, and immerse students in a STEM enriched learning culture.

Areas of Strength:

An area of strength that enhances F. L. Stanton’s STEM program is the consistent participation of all stakeholders in STEM-related activities and events. Another area of strength is consistent, collaborative planning involving teachers, district leaders, and community stakeholders.

Areas of Opportunity:

Areas of improvement include event-related data indicating areas of growth for further development.
