Impact Narrative:
At F. L. Stanton Elementary School, educators and leaders participate in an ongoing system of STEM-specific professional learning to improve STEM knowledge and practices via job-embedded professional learning, professional learning facilitated by district STEM leaders, and professional learning held at STEM certified schools within and outside the Atlanta Public Schools District.
Areas of Strength:
An area of strength is evident in STEM-aligned classroom observations and participation surveys. Areas of improvement include capturing, using, and aligning STEM program-related data to provide prescriptive targeted support.
Areas of Opportunity:
Further growth and development include communication involving all stakeholders and adhering to set STEM expectations and professional learning norms. Maintaining a continuum of intentionally planned STEM professional learning remains at the forefront of school-related STEM initiatives.
Initiatives/Actions:
Teachers and staff engage in STEM professional learning opportunities at the school level, district level, and local community training opportunities.
